Solution Architect - Service Now

Job Description

As part of an ongoing digital modernization initiative, we are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead architectural design and implementation across key projects. The role focuses on aligning technical solutions with business objectives, enabling scalability, and optimizing system performance.

Objectives and Deliverables

The Solutions Architect will bridge business goals and technical execution, designing robust architectures that address complex challenges. This role emphasizes clear communication, strategic planning, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver innovative and efficient solutions.

Architectural Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement architectural solutions for ServiceNow domain initiatives (CMDB, ITOM, ITSM, Risk, Vendor Management, Asset Pro).
  • Evaluate existing architectures, identify areas for improvement, and propose actionable strategies for optimization.
  • Oversee the implementation of ServiceNow modules, including CMDB, Asset Pro, ITOM, ITSM, Risk, and Vendor Management.
  • Transition the current CMDB implementation to align with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM 3.0).
  • Establish and maintain interconnected digital workflows across procurement, IT operations, architecture, finance, and demand management.
  • Support IT asset management practices and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure system specifications align with architectural goals and business requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop business cases, technical roadmaps, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues to ensure project objectives are met.

Technological Responsibilities:

  • Act as the architectural authority for critical ServiceNow projects.
  • Maintain hands-on expertise in ServiceNow technologies and integration patterns.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption where applicable.
  • Deliver architectural documentation, including plans, diagrams, and integration specifications.

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in solution architecture, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Over 5 years of experience with ITIL and IT asset management practices.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow modules: CMDB, ITOM, ITSM, Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Software Asset Management (SAM).
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • Strong understanding of integration technologies (SSO, SAML, REST, LDAP, JDBC, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD practices.
  • Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with architectural frameworks and governance standards.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ServiceNow certifications.
  • ITIL certification.
  • TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks.

Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site).
