Job Description
We are looking for a candidate for an IP Expert position. The ideal profile should have strong knowledge of IP routing (MPLS, BGP, etc.), and experience in advanced services would be a significant asset (Security, SD-WAN, DDoS attack protection, etc.)
The position requires an expert solution architect who has a comprehensive 360-degree view of IP technologies and related fields.
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Full-time consultant: 37.5 hours/week
- Duration: 12-month renewable contract
- Remote position, except for lab access or structured meetings
Responsibilities
- Define IP, security, and connectivity solutions for business client deliverables
- Perform technology monitoring to plan the evolution of business products and services, collaborating with product managers
- Provide advanced expertise in network and IP connectivity solutions, SD-WAN, and security, along with a good understanding of the tools and systems needed to manage these technologies
- Participate in drafting required documentation and technical requirements for RFP processes related to technological advancements or new service launches
- Attend kick-off meetings with operations and/or sales for complex deliverables
- Analyze and propose solutions for business IP services
- Provide Level 3 support for deployed solutions
- Document complex solutions implemented for clients
- Suggest improvements for deliveries or solutions
- Assist clients in complex delivery processes or issue resolution
Requirements
- Ensure high-quality IP, security, and connectivity solutions for business clients
- Maintain technological alignment with industry standards and innovations
- Improve efficiency and reliability of delivered solutions
Technical Expertise
- University degree in technology
- Around 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a Service Provider or Managed Services environment
- Strong experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Meraki, and/or Velocloud products
- Expertise in routing (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS)
- Experience in IP security and advanced services like SD-WAN
- Network certification (CCNP, JNCP or higher, FCP (NSE) or higher, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with firewalls (Fortigate, ASA) is a plus
- Experience with DDoS defense solutions is a plus
- Experience in automation
- Knowledge of signaling protocols (SIP, H323, MGCP, SCCP) is a plus
- Proven experience in troubleshooting complex issues in telecommunications, security equipment, and servers—from identifying bugs and triggers to resolution
