Job Description
We are looking for a Senior SQL Server Developer/Database Administrator (DBA) with programming expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing automated solutions and managing our SQL Server databases both on-premises and in the cloud. The candidate must be fluent in French and functional in English.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support SQL Server database services in IaaS and PaaS modes for relevant environments and applications, ensuring their integrity, security, and performance.
- Design, implement, and update database structures.
- Advise various stakeholders on the management, use, and access of databases.
- Participate in the development of automation solutions for configuration, installation, maintenance, continuous delivery, and deployment of SQL Server and Azure SQL services.
- Write and update documentation related to various systems and databases.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Developer and DBA.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, Powershell, Terraform).
- Significant knowledge of Azure SQL, SQL Server 2012 to 2022, AlwaysOn, TSQL, Windows Server.
- Strong understanding of VMWare and Azure environments.
- Experience with data backup and recovery.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French.
- Functional English skills.
- Knowledge of database monitoring tools.
- Degree in computer science or a related field.
Technical Expertise
- Proven experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Ansible, Flyway, CosmosDB.
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
